Persona Development

I really love Persona Dev work. Customer interviews are the foundation for this work. Typically, I will lead or support interviews to better understand the user perspective. Hearing about the day to day is fascinating and revitalizing work.

Like all research efforts in UXR, persona development is a very involved process.  It’s an honor to hear why someone likes something, how they think, and for them to share their behavior with me.

Customer interviews take about an hour and over the course of three days, the research team can conduct about 25 interviews. This user data is parsed using affinity diagrams, emotion and journey mapping, journaling, brain drawing.

Shopping Experience

  • Who are people shopping on mobile devices? Why choose to shop on a mobile device? What are users unmet needs online? Which device do users prefer?

Behavioral Exploration

  • Shopping behavior, tools with animated functionality, tools for editing personal info online such as service  accounts (phone bill, for example)

Public Service

  • Conducted interviews with public officials, public transit to better understand product opportunities which would make these public roles function more efficiently and provide better service to citizens.
