Babble
I was reading Katy Waldman’s article on Slate, “Bitch, I’ll Tell You Why This Sentence Construction Is So Effective,” and found I wanted to use this construction all day long. Actually, I was compelled to do so, almost unable to stop. Unfortunately, I was at my office. It got me thinking about something I read about sound, babies, and language.
I remembered I don’t know much of anything at all, especially about neurobiology, pattern forming, and how humans grasp syntax and sound and turn that into concept and poetry.
