July 2015
Went on an unceremonious, unprovoked book hoarding spree at the Harvard Bookstore:
- Marcus du Sautoy (TED Talk), Symmetry: A Journey Into the Patterns of Nature (Amazon)
- Matt Ritchel, Deadly Wandering
- Sean Carroll, The Particle at the End of the Universe
- Adrian Bejan & J. Peder Zane, Design in Nature
- Emily Anthes, Frankenstein’s Cat: Cuddling up to Biotech’s Brave New Beasts
- Steven Pinker, How the Mind Works
- William R. Uttal, Mind and Brain: A Critical Appraisal of Cognitive Neuroscience
We’ll see how it goes. How do you know which books to buy and when to hold back? I also feel obligated to read all of the Oliver Sacks books (A+ on those book covers, Oliver!)
XO,
H
